Knitted shoulder warmer in garter st with lace pattern



Size: S/M - L/XL - XXL/XXXL
Height: approx. 40-40-46 cm
Circumference: approx. 75-88-100 cm at the widest

Materials:
200-200-250 g colour no 38, raspberry

CIRCULAR NEEDLE (60 cm) SIZE 5.5 mm - or size needed to get 16 sts x 20 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.

GARTER ST (in the round on circular needle):
1 ridge = * K 1 round and P 1 round *, repeat from *-*.

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 and A.2.

DECREASE TIP:
Dec 1 st by K 2 sts tog. Dec alternately on the left and right side of st with marker.

SHOULDER WARMER:
Worked in the round on circular needle.
Loosely cast on 132-154-176 sts on circular needle size 5.5 mm with Paris. Work 1 ridge in GARTER ST - see explanation above. Work next round as follows: * Work A.1 (= 15 sts), work 7 sts in garter st *, repeat from *-* 6-7-8 times in total = 120-140-160 sts on needle. Finish A.1. Work next round as follows: * Work A.2 (= 13 sts), work 7 sts in garter st *, repeat from *-* 6-7-8 times in total. Insert 1 marker in the fourth of the 7 sts in garter st between every pattern repetition (= 6-7-8 markers). Continue with A.2 and in garter st. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures approx. 14 cm - adjust so that next round is a round with K in the garter st sections, dec 1 st on the right side of all markers – READ DECREASE TIP (= 6-7-8 sts dec). Repeat dec when piece measures 21, 28 and 35 = 96-112-128 sts. When piece measures approx. 39-39-45 cm – adjust after one whole repetition vertically, K 1 round, P 1 round and K 1 round. Then loosely cast off with P.
