MEASUREMENT TIP:
Because of the weight of the yarn make all measurements while the garment is hanging, otherwise it will be too long when worn.
GARTER ST (in the round): K 1 round, P 1 round
GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):
K all rows.
INCREASING TIP:
Inc 1 st by making 1 YO inside 1 garter st. On next row K YO into back of loop to avoid a hole.
--------------------------------------------------------
BODY PIECE:
Worked in the round. Cast on 64-70-76-82-90-100 sts on circular needle size 15 mm with Polaris. K 1 round, then work 2 rounds GARTER ST – see above! Insert 2 markers in piece, 1 at beg of round and 1 after 32-35-38-41-45-50 sts. Continue in stocking st. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! See MEASUREMENT TIP! When piece measures 5 cm dec 2 sts on back piece by K2 tog AFTER marker-1 and K2 tog BEFORE marker-2. Repeat the dec on front piece (= AFTER marker-2 and BEFORE marker-1) and back piece alternately on every 10-10-10-11-11-11 cm a total of 4 times = 56-62-68-74-82-92 sts. When piece measures 39-40-41-42-43-44 cm cast off 4 sts for armhole each side (= 2 sts each side of marker) = 48-54-60-66-74-84 sts. Put piece aside and knit the sleeves.
SLEEVE:
Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 16-16-18-18-18-20 sts on circular needle size 15 mm with Polaris. Work 2 rows GARTER ST – see above! Continue in stocking st with 1 garter st each side. When piece measures 5 cm inc 1 st inside 1 garter st on left side of piece – See INCREASING TIP! Repeat the inc on the right and left side alternately on every 4-3-3-3-2.5-2.5 cm a total of 10-12-12-12-14-14 times (i.e. 5-6-6-6-7-7 times each side) = 26-28-30-30-32-34 sts. When piece measures 46-46-44-44-44-42 cm (less for the larger sizes because of longer sleeve cap and wider shoulders) cast off 2 sts at beg of the next 2 rows = 22-24-26-26-28-30 sts. Slip piece on a stitch holder. Knit the other sleeve in the same way.
YOKE:
Worked in the round. Slip sleeves on the same circular needle as body piece where cast off for armholes = 92-102-112-118-130-144 sts. Work next round as follows with Polaris: * K2 tog, K3 *, repeat from *-* a total of 18-20-22-23-26-28 times and finish with K 2-2-2-3-0-4 sts = 74-82-90-95-104-116 sts. P 1 round, K 1 round, P 1 round.

Change back to Polaris. Work next round as follows: K2 tog all the way round = 74-82-90-95-104-116 sts. P 1 round, then work next round as follows: * K2 tog, K2 *, repeat from *-* a total of 18-20-22-23-26-29 times and finish with K 2-2-2-3-0-0 = 56-62-68-72-78-87 sts. P 1 round.
Change to Eskimo. Work next round as follows: * K1, 1 YO *, repeat from *-* = 112-124-136-144-156-174 sts. K 5-5-6-6-6-7 rounds.
Change to Polaris. K2 tog all the way round = 56-62-68-72-78-87 sts. P 1 round, then work next round as follows: Size S-L: * K2 tog, K2 *, repeat from *-* a total of 14-15-17 times, finish with K 0-2-0= 42-47-51 sts. Size XL-XXXL: * K2 tog, K1 *, repeat from *-* a total of 24-26-29 times = 48-52-58 sts. Work next round as follows: Size S-XXL: P 1 round, AT THE SAME TIME inc 2-1-1-4-0 sts evenly = 44-48-52-52-52 sts. Size XXXL: P 1 round AT THE SAME TIME dec 2 sts evenly = 56 sts. All Sizes: Continue in rib K2/P2. Cast off LOOSELY with K over K and P over P when the rib measures 28 cm.
ASSEMBLY:
Sew sleeve seams, edge to edge in outer loops of sts to avoid a chunky seam. Sew openings under arms.
TWISTED STRING:
Cut 2 strands Polaris measuring approx 500 cm each. Twist them until they resist, fold string double and let it twist again. Tie a knot each end.
POMPOM:
Make 2 pompoms with a diameter of approx 8 cm in Polaris. Pull thread through first round of the rib. Attach the pompoms to each end of string.

DROPS 117-21
DROPS design: Pattern no EE-283.
Size: S - M - L - XL - XXL - XXXL
Materials: DROPS ESKIMO
850-900-1000-1100-1200-1350 g colour no 48m, beige mix
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE (80 cm) and DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES size 8 mm - or size needed to get 11 sts x 15 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE (80 and 60 cm) and DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES size 7 mm – for rib.
MEASUREMENT TIP:
Because of the weight of the yarn make all measurements whilst the garment is hanging, otherwise it will be too long when worn.
KNITTING TIP:
If your knitting tension doesn’t fit, i.e. is too tight, the raglan will be too short and the armhole too small. You may compensate for this by working 1 extra round without dec at regular intervals in between rounds with dec.
DECREASING TIP (applies to raglan):
Beg 3 sts before st with marker: K2 tog, K3, slip 1 st as if to K, K1, psso.
--------------------------------------------------------
TUNIC:
Worked in the round on circular needle.
Cast on 126-133-147-168-182-196 sts on circular needle size 7 mm with Eskimo. K 1 round and continue in rib K3/P4. When rib measures 12 cm dec 1 st in each P-section = 108-114-126-144-156-168 sts. Continue in rib K3/P3. When rib measures 18 cm change to circular needle size 8 mm. K 1 round, AT THE SAME TIME dec 2-2-0-2-2-0 sts evenly on round = 106-112-126-142-154-168 sts. Continue in stocking st. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Insert 1 marker at beg of round and 1 marker after 53-56-63-71-77-84 sts. See MEASUREMENT TIP! When piece measures 20 cm dec 1 st on the right side of both markers. Repeat the dec on the left and on the right side of marker alternately each side (= 2 dec sts per round) on every 5-5.5-4.5-3.5-4-4 cm a total of 8-8-10-12-12-12 times = 90-96-106-118-130-144 sts. When piece measures 60-62-64-66-68-70 cm cast off 8 sts each side for armhole (= 4 sts each side of marker) = 74-80-90-102-114-128 sts. Put piece aside and knit the sleeves.
SLEEVE:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 30-30-30-30-36-36 sts on double pointed needles size 7 mm with Eskimo. K 1 round and continue in rib K3/P3. Insert a marker in the outermost st each side on both back piece and front piece (= 4 markers). See KNITTING TIP! Now dec for raglan - see DECREASING TIP - on every 3rd round a total of 7-7-8-8-9-9 times = 78-88-94-110-118-136 sts. When piece measures 13-14-15-16-17-18 cm from beg of yoke, K 1 round, AT THE SAME TIME inc 0-2-2-4-2-2 sts evenly = 78-90-96-114-120-138 sts.
