HAT:
Size: S/M - L
Head circumference: 54/56 - 58 cm
Materials: 100-100 g colour no 51, powder pink

DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES AND CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 8 mm (40 cm) - or size needed to get 11 sts x 15 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 7 mm (40 cm) - for rib.

NECK WARMER:
Size: One-size
Height: 31 cm
Circumference at the bottom: 82 cm
Circumference at the top: 55 cm
Materials: 200 g colour no 51, powder pink

CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 8 mm (60 cm) - or size needed to get 11 sts x 15 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 7 mm (60 cm) - for rib.

PATTERN:
See diagram A.1.

HAT:
Worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 52-60 sts on circular needle size 7 mm with Eskimo. Work rib K 2/P 2 until edge measures 4 cm. Switch to circular needle size 8 mm. Then work as follows: * A.1, P 4-6 *, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times. Continue the pattern like this. When piece measures 16-14 cm, dec 1 st in the right side of every P-section by P 2 tog (= 4 sts dec), repeat dec every 2 cm 3-5 more times, dec alternately on left and right side of P-section = 36-36 sts. On next round K all sts tog 2 by 2 = 18-18 sts. K 1 round, then K all sts tog 2 by 2 again = 9 sts remain on needle. Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten. Piece measures approx. 25-27 cm.

NECK WARMER:
Worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 104 sts on circular needle size 7 mm with Eskimo. Work rib K 2/P 2 for 4 cm, switch to circular needle size 8 mm, P 1 round while AT THE SAME TIME dec 14 sts evenly = 90 sts. Then work as follows: * A.1, P 6 *, repeat from *-* a total of 6 times. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 6 cm, dec 1 st in the right side of every P-section by P 2 tog (= 6 sts dec), repeat dec every 5 cm 4 more times, dec alternately on left and right side of P-section = 60 sts on round. When piece measures 27 cm, P 1 round while at the same time inc 8 sts evenly = 68 sts. Switch to circular needle size 7 mm, work rib = K 2/P 2 for 4 cm. Cast off sts with K over K and P over P.
