STRAIGHT NEEDLES SIZE 4.5 mm - or size needed to get 18 sts x 23 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows.
---------------------------------------------------------- HEAD BAND: Beg mid back and cast on 19 sts on needle size 4.5 mm with Big Fabel. First row = RS. Work 1 st in garter st, * K 2, P 1 *, repeat from *-* a total of 5 times and finish with K 2 and 1 st in garter st. Continue with rib K 2/P 1 and edge sts in garter st. NOTE! All inc and dec are done from RS. When piece measures 8 cm, inc all 1 P st to 2 P sts = 24 sts on needle. When piece measures 14 cm, inc all 2 P sts to 3 P sts = 29 sts on needle. When piece measures 18 cm, inc all 3 P sts to 4 P sts = 34 sts on needle. When piece measures 21 cm, inc all 4 P sts to 5 P sts = 39 sts on needle. When piece measures 24 cm, insert a marker = mid front. Now reverse the piece - dec 1 st in every P-section by working 2 sts tog when piece measures 3, 6, 10 and 16 cm from marker = 19 sts on needle. Cast off when piece measures 48 cm. Sew cast on edge and cast off edge tog edge to edge.
