Size: 3/4 - 5/6 - 7/8 - 9/10 - 11/12 years
Size in cm: 98/104 - 110/116 - 122/128 - 134/140 - 146/152

Materials: 300-300-300-300-400 g colour white/navy blue

DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES and CIRCULAR NEEDLE (60 cm) SIZE 4 mm - or size needed to get 19 sts x 25 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES and CIRCULAR NEEDLE (60 cm) SIZE 3 mm - for rib.

INCREASE TIP:
Inc 1 st on each side of the middle 2 sts at the front and back by making 1 YO, on next round K the YOs twisted (i.e. work in back loop of st) to avoid holes.

DECREASE TIP:
Work until 2 sts remain before marker, K 2 tog and then K 2 twisted tog (marker is between these sts).

PANTS:
Worked in the round, top down. Rounds start mid back.
Cast on 116-120-124-128-136 sts on circular needle size 3 mm with Big Fabel. Work rib from mid back as follows: K 1, * P 2, K 2 *, repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with P 2 and K 1. When piece measures approx. 2 cm, work a round with eyelet holes as follows: K 1, * P 2 tog, 1 YO, K 2 tog, 1 YO *, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish with P 2 tog, 1 YO and K 1. Continue rib as before. When piece measures 5 cm, switch to circular needle size 4 mm. Work 1 round in stocking st while AT THE SAME TIME dec 12 sts evenly = 104-108-112-116-124 sts. Insert a marker at beg of round (= mid back) and a marker after 52-54-56-58-62 sts (= mid front). Then work an elevation at the back in stocking st as follows: Work 8 sts past marker mid back, turn, tighten thread and work 16 sts, turn, tighten thread and work 24 sts, turn, tighten thread and continue like this by working 8 sts more on every turn until a total of 80-80-80-96-96 sts have been worked. Turn, continue in the round in stocking st over all sts. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 19-20-21-22-23 cm mid front, inc 2 sts at the front and back on next round – READ INCREASE TIP! Repeat inc every other round 5 more times = 128-132-136-140-148 sts. After last inc (piece measures approx. 23-24-25-26-27 cm mid front), cast off 12 sts mid front and mid back (i.e. cast off 6 sts on each side of both markers).
Finish each leg separately, slip sts for one leg on a stitch holder.

LEG:
= 52-54-56-58-62 sts. Distribute sts on 4 double pointed needles size 4 mm and continue in stocking st in the round - insert a marker on the inside of leg. When leg measures 4 cm, dec 1 st on each side of marker - READ DECREASE TIP. Repeat dec every 5-6-7-8½-10 cm, 5 more times = 40-42-44-46-50 sts. When leg measures 38-44-50-58-66 cm, inc 4-6-4-6-6 sts evenly = 44-48-48-52-56 sts. Switch to double pointed needles size 3 mm and work rib = K 2/P 2 for 10 cm. Then loosely cast off with K over K and P over P.
Slip sts from the other leg back on needle and work as first leg.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew the 12 sts that were cast off between the legs tog towards each other. Fold the rib at the bottom of legs.

TIE:
Cut 2 threads Big Fabel of approx. 3 metres. Twine them tightly tog, fold them double and they will twine again, make a knot at each end. Thread the tie in the round with eyelet holes at the top of pants – start and finish mid front.
