Knitted pants



Size: 3/4 - 5/6 - 7/8 - 9/10 - 11/12 years
Size in cm: 98/104 - 110/116 - 122/128 - 134/140 - 146/152

Materials:150-200-200-250-300 g colour no 602pl, silver fox
And use:150-200-200-250-300 g colour no 01, grey

DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES and CIRCULAR NEEDLE (60 cm) SIZE 4 mm – or size needed to get 19 sts x 25 rows in stocking st with 1 thread Delight and 1 thread Fabel = 10 x 10 cm.
DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES and CIRCULAR NEEDLE (60 cm) SIZE 3 mm - for rib.

INCREASE TIP:
Inc on each side of the 2 middle sts at the front and back by making 1 YO. On next round K the YOs twisted to avoid holes (i.e. in back loop of st).

DECREASE TIP:
Work until 2 sts remain before marker, then K 2 tog and K 2 twisted tog (work in back loop of st).

PANTS:
Worked in the round, top down. Rounds start mid back.
Cast on 116-120-124-128-136 sts on circular needle size 3 mm with 1 thread Fabel and 1 thread Delight. Work rib = K 2/P 2. When rib measures 1.5 cm, work a round of eyelet holes as follows: * K 2 tog, 1 YO *, repeat from *-* the entire round. Continue with rib as before. When piece measures 5 cm, switch to circular needle size 4 mm. Work 1 round in stocking st while AT THE SAME TIME dec 12 sts evenly = 104-108-112-116-124 sts. Insert 1 marker at beg of round (= mid back) and 1 marker after 52-54-56-58-62 sts (= mid front). Then work an elevation at the back as follows in stocking st: Work 8 sts past marker mid back, turn and work 16 sts, turn, work 24 sts, turn, continue like this by working 8 sts more on every turn until a total of 80-80-80-96-96 sts have been worked. Turn, continue in the round in stocking st over all sts. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 18-19-20-21-22 cm mid front, inc 2 sts front and back on next round – READ INCREASE TIP! Repeat inc every other round a total of 6 times = 128-132-136-140-148 sts. When piece measures 23-24-25-26-27 cm mid front, cast off 12 sts mid front and mid back (i.e. cast off 6 sts on each side of both markers).
Finish each leg separately, slip sts for one leg on a stitch holder.

LEG:
= 52-54-56-58-62 sts. Distribute sts on 4 double pointed needles size 4 mm and continue in stocking st in the round - insert a marker on the inside of leg. When leg measures 4 cm, dec 1 st on each side of marker - READ DECREASE TIP. Repeat dec every 5-5-6-6-7 cm a total of 6 times = 40-42-44-46-50 sts. When leg measures 33-39-45-53-61 cm, inc 4-6-4-6-6 sts evenly = 44-48-48-52-56 sts. Switch to double pointed needles size 3 mm and work rib = K 2/P 2 for 5 cm. Then loosely cast off with K over K and P over P.
Slip sts from the other leg back on needle and work as first leg.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew the 12 sts that were cast off between the legs tog towards each other.

TIE:
Cut 2 threads; 1 thread Fabel and 1 thread Delight of approx. 3 metres. Twine them tightly tog, fold them double and they will twine again, make a knot at each end. Thread the tie in the round with eyelet holes at the top of pants – start and finish mid front.
