HAT: Worked in the round on circular needle, switch to double pointed needles when needed. Cast on 120-132 sts on circular needle size 3 mm with dark grey blue. Work rib = K 2/P 2 for 5 cm. Switch to circular needle size 4 mm and K 1 round while AT THE SAME TIME dec 24 sts evenly = 96-108 sts. Work diagram M.1, then continue with diagram M.2. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 18-20 cm, work in stocking st with dark grey blue while AT THE SAME TIME dec as follows: ROUND 1: K every 5th and 6th st tog = 80-90 sts. ROUND 2: K all sts. ROUND 3: K every 4th and 5th st tog = 64-72 sts. ROUND 4: K all sts. ROUND 5: K every 3rd and 4th st tog = 48-54 sts. ROUND 6: K all sts. ROUND 7: K every 2nd and 3rd st tog = 32-36 sts. ROUND 8: K all sts. ROUND 9: K all sts tog 2 by 2 = 16-18 sts. ROUND 10: K all sts. ROUND 11: K all sts tog 2 by 2 = 8-9 sts. Pull thread through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten. Piece measures approx. 22-24 cm.
