Foot length: 22 - 24 - 27 - 30 cm
Leg length: 23 - 24 - 25 - 26 cm
Materials:
100-100-100-100 g colour no 43, ice blue
50-100-100-100 g colour no 01, off white
50-50-50-50 g colour no 11, orange
50-50-50-50 g, colour no 48, wine red
50-50-50-50 g colour no 65, denim blue

DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES SIZE 3.5 mm - or size needed to get 22 sts x 30 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES SIZE 2.5 mm – for rib

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 and A.2. Work entire pattern in stocking st.

HEEL DECREASE:
ROW 1 (= RS): Work until 7-7-8-8 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso, turn piece.
ROW 2 (= WS): Work until 7-7-8-8 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to P, P 1, psso, turn piece.
ROW 3 (= RS): Work until 6-6-7-7 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso, turn piece.
ROW 4 (= WS): Work until 6-6-7-7 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to P, P 1, psso, turn piece.
Continue dec like this with 1 st less before every dec until there are 12-14-14-14 sts on needle.

SOCK:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles.
Cast on 64-64-68-68 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with off white. Work rib = K 2/P 2 for 2.5 cm. Switch to double pointed needles size 3.5 mm, K 1 round while AT THE SAME TIME dec 4-4-8-8 sts evenly = 60 sts. Work pattern according to diagram A.1. After A.1, K 1 round with off white while AT THE SAME TIME dec 4 sts evenly = 56 sts. Then work pattern according to diagram A.2. AT THE SAME TIME on 1st round marked with arrow in diagram, dec 4-4-0-0 sts evenly = 52-52-56-56 sts. On next round marked with arrow in diagram, dec 4 sts evenly in size 35/37 (do not dec more sts in the other sizes) = 48-52-56-56 sts. When A.2 has been worked, piece measures approx. 23 cm vertically. Work with ice blue until finished measurements. Continue to work until piece measures 23-24-25-26 cm. On next round, keep the first 12-13-14-14 sts on needle for heel, slip the next 24-26-28-28 sts on a stitch holder (= mid on top of foot) and keep the last 12-13-14-14 sts on needle for heel. Continue in stocking st back and forth over the 24-26-28-28 heel sts for 5-5½-6-6½ cm. Insert a marker in middle of piece. Then work HEEL DECREASE - see explanation above. After heel dec, knit up 11-12-13-14 sts along each side of heel and slip the 24-26-28-28 sts from stitch holder back on needle = 58-64-68-70 sts. Insert a marker on each side of the 24-26-28-28 sts on top of foot. Continue in stocking st in the round while AT THE SAME TIME dec in each side as follows: K the last 2 sts BEFORE the first marker on top of foot twisted tog and K the first 2 sts AFTER last marker on top of foot tog. Repeat dec every other round 6-7-7-6 more times = 44-48-52-56 sts. Continue to work until piece measures 18-20-22-25 cm from marker on heel (approx. 4-4-5-5 cm remain until finished measurements). Insert a marker in each side so that there are 22-24-26-28 sts both on top of foot and under foot. Continue working stocking st while AT THE SAME TIME dec for toes on each side of both markers as follows: BEFORE marker: K 2 tog. AFTER marker: K 2 twisted tog. Repeat dec every other round 3-3-4-4 more times and then every round a total of 5-6-6-7 times = 8 sts remain on needle. Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten.
