Measurements: approx. 15 x 180 cm Materials: 200 g colour off white
STRAIGHT NEEDLES SIZE 5 mm - or size needed to get 17 sts x 22 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.
PATTERN: See diagram A.1. Diagram shows all rows in pattern seen from RS. ----------------------------------------------------------
SCARF: Piece is worked in 2 parts and sewn tog in the middle so that the pattern beg the same way in both ends of scarf. Loosely cast on 26 sts on needle size 5 mm with Big Merino and work 2 ridges in GARTER ST - see explanation above (1st row = RS). Work next row as follows from RS: 3 sts in garter st, work A.1 (=20 sts) and finish with 3 sts in garter st. Continue pattern with 3 sts in garter st in each side. When piece measures approx. 90 cm (stop when last row in repetition remains), K 1 row from WS before slipping sts on 1 stitch holder. Knit another part the same way.
