Size: S/M - L/XL
Head circumference: approx. 54/56 - 58/60 cm
Circumference: approx. 51-53 cm
Height: approx. 22 cm
Materials: 50 g colour no 06, pink/purple for both sizes
And use:50 g colour no 100, off white for both sizes

DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES and CIRCULAR NEEDLE (40 cm) SIZE 3.5 mm - or size needed to get 26 sts x 32 rows in pattern = 10 x 10 cm.
CIRCULAR NEEDLE (40 cm) SIZE 2.5 mm – for rib.

INCREASE TIP:
Inc 1 st by getting the thread between 2 sts from previous row - K this st twisted, i.e. work in back loop of st instead of front to avoid holes.

PATTERN:
See diagram A.1 (for size S/M) and A.2 (for size L/XL), diagrams show all rows in one pattern repetition for the entire hat. Work entire pattern in stocking st.

DECREASE TIP:
Dec in every repetition as follows: Work pattern until 1 st remains before next repetition, * slip next st (= last st from previous repetition) as if to K, K tog the next 2 sts (= first 2 sts from next repetition) with pink/purple Delight, psso (= 2 sts dec) *, the st that remains on needle = 1st st in repetition.
NOTE! For the 1st dec on round work until 1 st remains from previous round, then work from *-*.

HAT:
Worked in the round. Cast on 120-126 sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm with off white Fabel. Work rib as follows: * K 1, P 1 *, repeat from *-* the entire round until piece measures approx. 2 cm. Switch to circular needle size 3.5 mm, work 1st row in pattern A.1-A.2 with pink/purple - AT THE SAME TIME inc 12-12 sts evenly on round - READ INCREASE TIP = 132-138 sts. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION AND DO NOT TIGHTEN AT THE BACK OF PIECE!
Continue with pattern (there are 6-6 repetitions in total on round). When beg dec at the top of hat, there are 132 sts in both sizes - READ DECREASE TIP! Then dec 2 sts in every repetition (= 12 sts dec on round) every other round. Switch to double pointed needles size 3.5 mm when needed. When pattern has been worked, 12 sts remain in off white Fabel. Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten.
