Materials: 100-100-150 g colour blue/turquoise
DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES SIZE 8 mm - or size needed to get 11 sts x 15 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm. DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES SIZE 7 mm – for rib
NECK WARMER: Size: 3/5 - 6/8 - 8/10 - 10/12 years Circumference: approx. 70-76-83-89 cm at the bottom Height: approx. 17-19-21-22 cm Materials:100-100-150-150 g colour blue/turquoise
DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES AND CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 8 mm (60 cm) - or size needed to get 11 sts x 15 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
DECREASE TIP (hat): Dec 1 st on each side of every marker as follows: Work until 2 sts remain before marker, K 2 tog (marker), slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso = 2 sts dec.
INCREASE TIP (neck warmer): Inc 1 P st in every P-section by working 1 YO at the end of every P-section the entire round. On next round P the YOs twisted. ----------------------------------------------------------
HAT: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Loosely cast on 42-45-51 sts on double pointed needles size 7 mm with Eskimo. Work rib as follows: * K 1, P 2 *, repeat from *-* the entire round. Work rib for 4 cm, then switch to double pointed needles size 8 mm and work in stocking st until finished measurements. Continue in stocking st in the round until piece measures 12-13-13 cm. Insert 3 markers in the piece 14-15-17 sts apart, move the markers upwards when working. On next round, dec 1 st on each side of every marker - READ DECREASE TIP = 6 sts dec. Repeat dec every other round 5-5-6 more times (a total of 6-6-7 times) = 6-9-9 sts remain. Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten. The hat measures approx. 19-20-22 cm vertically.
----------------------------------------------------------
NECK WARMER: Worked in the round top down. Loosely cast on 33-36-39-42 sts on double pointed needles size 8 mm with Eskimo (switch to circular needle size 8 mm when needed). Work rib = P 2/K 1 the entire round (= 11-12-13-14 P-sections). Continue to work like this until piece measures 7-9-9-10 cm. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION. On next round, inc 1 st in every P-section - READ INCREASE TIP = 44-48-52-56 sts. Repeat inc every 4th-4th-5th-5th round 3 more times = 66-84-91-98 sts. Piece now measures approx. 16-18-20-21 cm. K 1 round and P 1 round over all sts, then loosely cast off with K.
