Crochet tagetes flowers



Materials: 50 g colour no 28, orange

CROCHET HOOK SIZE 3 mm

PICOT:
4 ch, 1 tr in 4th ch from hook.

FLOWER:
Worked in the round. Crochet 5 ch on hook size 3 mm with Safran and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: 2 ch (does not replace 1st htr), 12 htr in ch-ring and finish with 1 sl st in first htr from beg of round.
ROUND 2: 1 ch, * 1 dc in next htr, 4 ch, skip 1 htr *, repeat from *-* 5 more times (= 6 times in total) and finish with 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round = 6 ch-loops.
ROUND 3: 1 ch, * 1 dc in next dc, 5 ch *, repeat from *-* 5 more times (= 6 times in total) and finish with 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round = 6 ch-loops.
ROUND 4: 1 ch, * 1 dc in next dc, 6 ch *, repeat from *-* 5 more times (= 6 times in total) and finish with 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round = 6 ch-loops.
ROUND 5: 1 ch, in every ch-loop on 4th round work: 1 dc, 1 PICOT – read explanation above, 1 dc, 1 picot, 1 dc and 1 picot. Finish with 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round = 18 leaves on round.
ROUND 6: 1 ch, then work 1 sl st in first dc on 3rd round, * 1 dc, 1 picot, 1 dc and 1 picot *, move to next loop and repeat from *-* the rest of round. Finish with 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round = 12 leaves on round.
ROUND 7: 1 ch, then work 1 sl st in first dc on 2nd round, * 1 dc, 1 picot *, move to next loop and repeat from *-* the rest of round. Finish with 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round = 6 leaves on round. Cut and fasten the thread.
