Knitted neck warmer



Size: 2 - 3/5 - 6/8 years
Materials:100 g for all sizes in colour no 33, medium pink

CIRCULAR NEEDLE (40 cm) SIZE 4 mm - or size needed to get 21 sts x 42 rows in garter st = 10 x 10 cm.

GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):
K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.

INCREASE TIP:
Inc in each side by making 1 YO inside outermost st, K YO twisted on next row to avoid holes.

NECK WARMER:
Yoke is worked in 2 parts, then slip the parts tog and then work the neck warmer in the round.

FRONT PIECE:
Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 29-31-33 sts on needle size 4 mm with Karisma and work in GARTER ST - see explanation above. READ INCREASE TIP! Inc 1 st in each side every other row a total of 5-7-8 times – READ INCREASE TIP - = 39-45-49 sts. Continue in garter st back and forth until piece measures 10-11-12 cm, slip sts on a stitch holder and work the back piece.

BACK PIECE:
Cast on and work as front piece.

NECK:
Slip front and back piece on to same circular needle = 78-90-98 sts. Now measure piece from here. K 1 round while AT THE SAME TIME inc 20 sts evenly on 1st round = 98-110-118 sts. Then work rib = K 1/P 1 for 8-9-10 cm and cast off with K over K and P over P.
