Knitted hat worked sideways



Size: S - M - L
Head circumference: approx. 54 - 56 - 58 cm
Materials:50 g colour no 01, off white
50 g colour no 16, dark grey
50 g colour no 21, medium grey

STRAIGHT NEEDLES SIZE 4 mm - or size needed to get 21 sts x 42 rows in garter st = 10 x 10 cm.

GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows.

STRIPES:
* Work 18-16-14 rows in garter st with off white, 18-16-14 rows in garter st with dark grey, 18-16-14 rows in garter st with medium grey *, repeat from *-*.

HAT:
Worked sideways back and forth on needle. Work the first 2 sts on the needle with double thread until finished measurements. Leave approx. 5 m extra thread when casting on/switching colour, use this when working with double thread. Cast on 56-58-60 sts on needles size 4 mm with Karisma. Work in GARTER ST - see explanation above - while AT THE SAME TIME working as follows: * 2 rows over all sts on needle, 2 rows over the first 52 sts on needle, 2 rows over the first 44 sts on needle *, repeat from *-*. Cast off when piece measures 52-54-56 cm at the longest (= bottom edge), adjust after one whole stripe in medium grey.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew tog the cast on and cast off edge. Sew a thread through sts along the upper edge and tighten the hat tog.
