Knitted towels with lace pattern



WITH LACE AT BOTTOM EDGE
Measurements: approx. 34 x 45 cm
Materials:100 g colour white

WITH LACE OVER THE ENTIRE TOWEL
Measurements: approx. 37 x 43 cm
Materials:100 g colour white

STRAIGHT NEEDLES SIZE 3.5 mm - or size needed to get 22 sts x 30 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.

WITH HOLES IN BOTTOM EDGE

GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):
K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 and A.2, diagrams show all rows in pattern from RS.

TOWEL:
Cast on 87 sts with Muskat on needle size 3.5 mm. Work first row from WS. Work next row as follows: 4 sts in GARTER ST - see explanation above, 79 sts in A.2 - see explanation above, 4 sts in garter st. When A.2. is done, 75 sts remain. Then work as follows: 4 sts in garter st, 67 sts in A.1, 4 sts in garter st. When A.1 is done, continue next row as follows: 4 sts in garter st, 67 sts in stocking st, 4 sts in garter st. When piece measures approx. 43 cm - measured from the tip, work 2 rows in garter st over all sts. Then work loop - 1st row as follows: K 36, cast off 3 sts, K 36. 2nd row as follows: K 36, cast on 6 new sts over the cast off sts, K 36. On next row cast off all sts incl the new sts for loop.

PATTERN:
See diagram A.3A-B-C, diagram shows all rows in pattern seen from RS.

TOWEL:
Cast on 81 sts with Muskat on needle size 3.5 mm. Work in GARTER ST for 2 cm - see explanation above. Then work next row from RS as follows: * 4 sts in garter st, 4 sts in A.3A, 64 sts in A.3B, 5 sts in A.3C, 4 sts in garter st *, repeat *-* until piece measures approx. 41 cm (finish on 6th or last row in A.1). Then work in garter st for 1.5 cm. Finish as follows: Row 1: K 39, cast off 3 sts, K 39. Row 2: K 39, cast on 6 new sts for loop, K 39. On next row cast off all sts incl the new sts for loop.
