Knitted blanket in garter st





Measurements: approx. 125 x 125 cm
Materials:
350 g colour no 543, red/orange
350 g colour no 901, candy

DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE (80 cm) size 4.5 mm – or size needed to get 20 sts x 39 rows in garter st = 10 x 10 cm.

STRIPES:
* K 2 rows in red/orange and K 2 rows in candy *.
Repeat from *-* until finished measurements.

BLANKET:
Cast on 5 sts on needle size 4.5 mm with red/orange. Work STRIPES - see explanation above, AT THE SAME TIME inc 1 st at beg of every row by making 1 YO inside outermost st, on next row K YO twisted. Repeat inc until piece measures 88 cm in the middle from cast on edge up to needle (= half of the blanket is made).
Continue with stripes as before while AT THE SAME TIME dec 1 st at beg of every row by K 2 tog. Work until 5 sts remain, loosely cast off and fasten the threads.
