Sizes 6.5 mm (U.S. 10½) and 8 mm (U.S. 11) circular knitting needles 24" [61 cm] long. Set of four sizes 6.5 mm (U.S. 10½) and 8 mm (U.S. 11) double-pointed knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge. 2 safety pins. Separating zipper.
GAUGE
11 sts and 14 rows = 4" [10 cm] with larger needles in stocking st.

INSTRUCTIONS
The instructions are written for smallest size. If changes are necessary for larger sizes the instructions will be written thus ( ). Numbers for each size are shown in the same color throughout the pattern. When only one number is given in black, it applies to all sizes.
Body
Note: Body is worked in one piece to armholes. Sleeves are worked in round to armholes, then Body and Sleeves are knit in one piece as yoke.
With smaller circular needle, cast on 75 (79-87-91) sts. Do not join. Working back and forth across needle, proceed as follows:
1st row: (RS). K2. *P1. K1. Rep from * to last st. K1.
2nd row: K2. *K1. P1. Rep from * to last 3 sts. K3.
Rep these 2 rows for 2" [5 cm], ending on a 2nd row and inc 1 st at center of last row. 76 (80-88-92) sts.
Change to larger circular needle and proceed as follows:
1st row: (RS). Knit.
2nd row: K2. Purl to last 2 sts. K2.
Rep last 2 rows until work from beg measures 8 (9-10-11½)" [20.5 (23-25.5-29) cm], ending with a WS row.
Divide for Back and Fronts: K21 (22-24-28). Slip last 4 sts onto a safety pin. K38 (40- 44-52). Slip last 4 sts onto a safety pin. Knit to end of row. Slip all sts on a length of yarn.
SLEEVES
With smaller double-pointed needles, cast on 16 (18- 18-20) sts. Divide sts onto 3 needles as: 5 (6-6-7) sts on 1st and 2nd needles and 6 sts on 3rd needle. Join in rnd, placing marker on first st.
1st rnd: *K1. P1. Rep from * around.
Rep last rnd of (K1. P1) ribbing for 2" [5 cm].
Change to larger double-pointed needles and knit in rnds, inc 1 st at beg and end of 3rd and every following 4th rnd until there are 28 (30-34-36) sts.
Cont even until Sleeve from beg measures 12 (13½-15-16)" [31 (35-38-40.5) cm].
Next rnd: K2. Slip these 2 sts onto a safety pin. Knit to last 2 sts Slip last 2 sts onto safety pin. Slip rem 24 (26-30-32) sts onto a length of yarn.
Yoke: 1st row: (WS). With larger circular needle, [K2. P15 (16-18-22)] for Left Front. Place marker. P24 (26-30- 32) for left Sleeve. Place marker. P34 (36-40-48) for Back. Place marker. P24 (26-30-32) for right Sleeve. Place marker. [P15 (16-18-22). K2] for Right Front. 116 (124-140-160) sts.
2nd row: *Knit to 2 sts before marker. K2tog. ssk. Rep from * 3 times more. Knit to end of row.
3rd row: K2. Purl to last 2 sts. K2.
Rep last 2 rows 6 (7-8-8) times more, then rep 3rd row once. 60 (60-68-88) sts.
Shape neck: 1st row: (RS). Cast off 3 (4-5-7) sts. *Knit to 2 sts before marker. K2tog. ssk. Rep from * 3 times more. Knit to end of row.
2nd row: Cast off 3 (4-5-7) sts. Purl to end of row.
3rd row: ssk. K2 (1-1-3). K2tog. ssk. (Knit to 2 sts before marker. K2tog. ssk) 3 times. K2 (1-1-3). K2tog.
4th row: P2tog. Purl to last 2 sts. P2togtbl. 34 (32-38-54) sts.

Cont even until work from marked row measures 3 (3½-3½- 4)" [7.5 (9-9-10) cm], ending with a purl row.
Cast off 4 sts beg next 6 rows. Cast off rem 15 (19-21-21) sts.
FINISHING
Fold Hood in half and sew center back seam. Sew side edge of Hood to neck edge, having hood seam at center back neck. Graft underarm seams. Sew zipper to front.
