Row 1: Turn, dc in 3rd chain from hook and across (44 sts).
Row 2: Turn, ch3, dc in each stitch across (44 sts).
Row 3: Turn, ch4, skip 2 stitches, *(2tr, ch1, 2tr) in next stitch, skip 4 stitches, repeat from * to last stitch, tr in last stitch to complete row (44 sts).
Row 4: Ch4, (2tr, ch1, 2tr) in each ch-1 space, tr in last stitch to complete row (44 sts).
Row 5-7: Repeat Row 3.
Row 8: Turn, sc18, sc dec 4 times, sc 18 (40 sts). Fold, sew together top down in back.
Trim, join yarn at bottom corner, using the ends of rows as stitches, sc3, sc dec to end.
Ties
For each tie: cut 6 lengths of yarn 3 feet long. Align the ends, then, holding them together, fold them in half. With a crochet hook, pull the center fold through the marked stitch. Take hold of the cut ends and thread them through the fold. Pull tight on the ends. Working with 3 groups of 4 strands, braid, knot the end, and trim to finish.
